- Decorating With Flowing Ideas To Create
A few weeks ago I was shopping online with one of my favorite website and came across these cute little boxes. I was not sure what would go in them, but I was attracted to buy 8 of them. The Boxes arrived today and first thing i did was try putting things inside yet the boxes were not ideal for what I was putting in them. So I put some away and kept one on my desk and came back to it. My mind wanders with ideas and it had not stopped doing over time with wandering why and or what would I do with all these little boxes. A blink of a eye it hit me. I had little mini turtles I was doing so I put on in the box and it was the perfect fit. Next was the turtles needed to be different to the ones I'm doing with stands. I started to get creative, get the acrylic paint, glue the design of the turtle and started working on it making it come alive. Now these boxes are clear view you can see both sides. so my turtles needed to be in full view. What could I do to make them come with that wow factor. I decided to cover both sides. I went through my ribbons and placed ribbons on the turtle. Now the favorite bit name the product. Capture of time turtle box and I also had sea horse so I did that one and put it in a different color box. Called Capture of time Sea Horse. Sometimes we buy things without knowing the reasons but when you are free mind we start to explore our creativity. I'm so thrilled to now put these products up to sell. Let those ideas flow from the imagination.
- What is a perfect gift
Have you ever heard the saying a perfect gift does not need to be expensive but a gift of love. Some people may agree or disagree with me, but I feel there is nothing called perfect, whether it is a gift, person, personality. If the world was perfect it would be boring without the differences. What makes the ideal gift would be better to say. The ideal gift is something that would bring a smile, memory, face expression or the gesture of appreciation. Craft gifts that are different and unique are another way of giving something that has everything, that is hard to buy for. It's great knowing that not everyone has the same thing out of a mass production. The gift was considered with designing, care, thoughts and imagination. Knowing the Artist has seen this picture in their mind before the creation is even made. The perfect ideal gift is something that is made out of love and thoughtful planning, affordable and will bring that magical acceptance of knowing it will be treasured. There are so many holidays and celebrations coming up, such as Christmas, Valentines, Baby Showers, Thank you, Friendship Day, Mother's Day, no matter what kind of celebration everyone loves surprises. What makes our gifts so special. It's done with care because of the small beads, stamps, color schemes to make sure it matches. The position of the craft items around the product. Ensure the Glue dries in place. The selected lace that is different and not brought from mass production. Thinking out of the square box on how can my crafts be different. There is no right or wrong answer. If you are going to try and make your own fantastic. Be proud of what you make remember Artists are the their worse critics even though it's beautiful. Practice makes perfect do not give up, if it's not something you feel that drive, passion, love in it, look at a different direction. Art and craft gifts are different types of styles it's just finding the right style for you. Select what you want to present to those who may be getting your products. It has taken me a long way of thinking of the products I wanted to do. I went through different arts to feel this type of passion and when I'm making my products. I go into a different type of creation world that in my mind I can see the vision until it is completely finished. There is no perfect gift. It's a gift of giving, caring and knowing the effect on others.
- Overwhelmed with Ideas, Let it Flow
How many of us have started with a vision of a product, vision or a dream and can feel of the success. I have read about so many that sometimes being overwhelmed with ideas can actually set you back wandering what you need to do to proceed. I can only express what I do and hope it may help others and try some of the helpful tips that have got me through. Lets first start off with what is Overwhelmed mean to you. Understanding the feeling will be the first important thing to know. It's like a road block not knowing what direction to turn in ideas. The ideas are rushing in fast and feeling of not knowing where to start. Does that sound like you? Being in this type of situation the last thing you want someone to say take a deep breathe and just take it slow. What do they know. They don't have your experiences. The important thing is to take feedback in your ideas and advice. You are taking feedback from someone that may not know you or they style. Everyone has different tastes in styles, colors, designs, etc. Being a successful Artist or creator, you need to understand the insight of others. Don't get upset if someone says something you don't want to hear. Take it on board, work on it and improve it. That doesn't mean do exactly what they are telling you do. You are you, creator someone with your own style, you want to share your express of your passion. Sometimes when you take on too much to fast. You will get overwhelmed even if you feel you wont. You just don't know. So listen to your inner self. Take breaks. Go for little walks sometimes you little issues have solutions have a different area to think. It's very normal for people to have blocks that they cant think of what they need to do or no matter what you do it's not working. Creating a vision, product or dream to reality. Have fun doing it. Don't allow it to overrule your lifestyle where you cant have a laugh if a color doesn't match. Experiment with designs, colors don't be worried to jump out of the square box. That's how things happen. Let the Creativity come alive, Express yourself. Don't be too hard on yourself if your artist flair is not working. Cut down on things that are holding you back, do one thing at a time. Do a diary and list the things that are important to make it happen and follow it. Don't be over concerned if you don't do everything on that day. Share your visions, let that imagination flow.
- Mind Block on Creativity Blog
I have craft and art materials around the home and I am feeling quite inspired to get into a piece of creative artistic craft work. I had my mum come over the other day and commented on one of my paintings. I'm thinking back of what she said and I am feeling inspired in making a new creation. I have a empty paint canvas and some wooden templates and started a new art material in scratching layers to form it's beauty of the colors of the picture. It's getting later in the evening and everyone has retired for the night. I place all my pieces that I have formed in my head of this creation on the table. Do a checklist, Paint canvas, brushes, black and white paint. Fabric lace, sparkles, etc. I'm feeling that I am doing different sections thinking of each step that i'm going to do yet I am following a flow of creativity. The clock is ticking away and it's two and half hours later I can see a creation taking form. The paint has tried and I place the new piece of art work on the canvas measuring up that i have it in the right place and then flip and glue the back. I'm thinking I need something to stop it lifting so it can glue on the canvas. I reach out to the nearest thing on the table. Stapler, bottle anything fairly heavy to sit on the canvas for a little while the glue does it's magic job. I start on the wooden templates after I have painted them black and start to put the craft gems and materials making the turtles and the fish in a world of fantasy and eye vision of the story I am trying to create. The piece with the color fish now look like a piece of paper glued on the canvas. I need something to decorate to really enhance the edges so it looks more then just this piece of paper. I start to look through my ribbons and laces and placing them along the canvas to see what would stand out, check the colors match and what else I could do with it once it's glued down. The color I have chosen has this beautiful ribbon and it really stands out, but I need more to really set it out. The picture is multi-colored so I select little gems and glue them out. I glue down the finished turtle and fish and look at my picture to see what else can I do this piece without overdoing it. I want it to stand out with creativity and a piece that someone would like to hang up being different. My mind starts to wandering and it's ticking away so it my time. I think sea creatures - air bubbles - what can I use for air bubbles. so I go to my buttons and craft materials and find that I have heaps of cute little buttons that i have heaps of and have not used for a long time. Perfect. I look at the piece and I really look at it and think this is really great and something that I would not of thought of if I did not get inspired by a few words in a conversation. Listen and let that creativity inspire you.
- Step by Step Creating A Turtle Blog
I have had people approach me admiring my turtles and have asked me how long does it take to make them. It depends on your time frame and how creative you want to be. I am going to show you in steps how to do one of my designs so you can enjoy the creative side and have fun creating one of these gorgeous turtles. Below are the following steps creating a Turtle. First you need a wooden craft template where you can add your favorite craft materials you can purchase these at craft shops in all different sizes depending how big you want it. You will need wood glue, craft materials can range from different beads, ribbons, bows, lace, straw, bottle tops, buttons it's endless. Let your imagination flow to create this wonderful Turtle. The Great thing about making this amazing turtle it's you and it's your creation. Remember the golden rule there is no rush, take your time if you need a rest, take a rest and go back to it later. Paint brushes are a handy tool to paint on the wood glue, depending on the size of your template how big the brush, you will also need them for your acrylic paint - I use the black acrylic paint this helps do the gaps when placing the materials down. Paint your template on both sides with your acrylic black paint and wait for it dry do not put on a thin coat and do not put it on heavy, just enough that it's covering the template. When the paint is dry the fun begins, In this lesson I have selected nail chips they come in different colors and glued them down on the head, arms, legs and tail. I'm using buttons for my first layer over the body on the paint, I put the wood glue over my turtle and place my buttons on my turtle. Buttons can be found on old clothing, craft and sewing places, Art shops etc. My second later to cover the sewing holes I have used Christmas sparkle decorations that come in different sizes and glued them over the holes I have used a nice big ribbon for the neck. At the back of your turtle place a wall hook that you can hang it up on the wall, or if you have a frame stand you can display your favorite turtle in your safe place to reflect on your creation.
- Creativity at it's best when having fun
Have you ever had a idea in your head and you have all your craft materials out and wandering what am I going to do with this. Sometimes it's best to let the idea flow to you and let your mind relax and do some creating. Remember Artists are their worse critics, so do not allow your own judgement think it's not good enough. If you are having fun creating your piece that's what matters. If you find it's still not what you wanted. Start again and let the ideas redirect you to expand to a different direction. Not all craft and art pieces are done in a day, sometimes it can take days, months and even years before the artist is happy with their creation. Everyone is able to do some form of creativity, it just may not be in the arts and crafts. Some people are better doing other things that this. There are so many arts and crafts to consider if you don't find you are enjoying one, look for another or even consider going in a class. A group of people can make it exciting and fun creating things.
